Durane Sharpening Steel

Keep your knives sharp as the day you bought them! Durane Sharpening Steel is a perfect tool to re-align the blades edge, so it feels as sharp as the day you bought it. Sharpening Steel should be harder than the knives that you want to sharpen. It can be used at home or in a commercial kitchen.

DESIGN: A single piece of metal running the full lenght of the knife sharpener makes it strong from handle to the point and offers superior durability and longevity. The handle has been designed in a way that it is comfortable to work with. It has a large flat area at the base so that hands don’t slip down onto the knife and also so that the knife won’t slip up to your hand.

USE:
1. Hold the steel in your left hand with the point facing downwards onto a wooden chopping board.
2. With the knife in your right hand hold it against the steel at a 15-degree angle.
3. Draw the blade across the steel in an arching curve, pivoted at your wrist and repeat on the other side.
4. Repeat 5 or 6 times. Use little and often to keep your knives sharp.
